Lumbini overview

Some people find a beach holiday relaxing while others find the idea of a being pampered in a five-star resort relaxing. Travellers also come to Lumbini to relax, however there are no beaches or five-star hotels there. Lumbini is famous for its sacred Buddhist temples and said to be birthplace of the Buddha, giving the town an aura of spiritual enlightenment. The town is located close to the Indian border, and offers a wide variety of accommodation, mostly at the cheaper end of the scale, and food to cater for all tastes at great prices. Other than the main tourist attractions, there really isn’t much for the traveller to do, other than soak up the chilled atmosphere that is beneficial for mediation.
