Nagarkot overview

Only a stone’s throw from Katmandu is the village of Nagarkot and here visitors can enjoy seeing a really rustic way of Nepalese life. The area is used for farmland so expect to see many farmers and random chickens flapping about. The village attracts many tourists throughout the year mainly due to the outstanding views that it offers out over the Langtang Mountain range. There are a handful of resorts as well as good lodges but budget travellers fear not as there are also lots of cheap accommodation available. The hills that surround the village are lush in the rainy season and the village of Nagarkot is famous for being a great place to catch a pretty sunset.
