As Nepal’s third largest city, Pokhara would be a good starting point in trekking the Annapurna area. Tourists arriving in Pokhara will surely be amazed by its spectacular setting – the pyramid-like Mt Machhapuchhare towering high above the city with its reflection mirrored in the serene waters of Phewa Tal. For many trekkers, Pokhara is their last stop to stock up before heading to the mountain trails.
